Catalog description
This capstone course enables students to synthesize prior learning and develop an advanced understanding of key financial concepts and theories, and the firm as a mechanism to build shareholder wealth. Course content focuses on real-world applications including forecasting of cash flows using financial statements and other relevant data, assessing a firm’s risk and determining a firm’s cost of capital, and applying valuation tools to determine the firm’s financial securities’ value and estimate the overall value of a firm, considering whenever possible, the effects of financial leverage.
