Catalog description

This course provides students with materials characterization fundamentals, key technologies, and applications on advanced semiconductors, oxides, and nanostructures. Important characterization technologies include structural, optical, electrical, surface science, synchrotron radiation, computer modeling and other characterization methods. Students taking this course could gain basic and technical knowledge and skills benefiting their future careers and the US semiconductor industry and R&D (research and development), which are in need.
