Catalog description

The Medical and Clinical Affairs Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) is an elective course in the fourth professional year. The primary goal of this APPE is to provide students who have selected an industry focused certificate with real world experience through participation in various activities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. These activities may include research and development, medical affairs, health economics, manufacturing, quality control, medical information support, marketing, and clinical and regulatory affairs. Emphasis will be placed on the student’s ability to demonstrate their understanding of common issues and regulations that impact the pharmaceutical industry as well as their ability to apply scientific knowledge and business acumen to assigned projects.
