Catalog description

The Clinical Academia Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) is an elective APPE in the fourth professional (P-4) year. The primary goal of this rotation is to provide opportunities for students to participate in clinical pharmacy practice as well as teaching and research. The breakdown of time spent in clinical practice versus academia will vary depending on clinical site needs, faculty schedule, as well as student-specific career goals discussed with the preceptor at the beginning of the rotation. Students will apply knowledge, skills, and abilities developed throughout the didactic curriculum during the elective to fulfill course and site-specific objectives. Students will also practice effective verbal and written communication to fulfill requirements of the rotation and clinical site.
