Catalog description

The Community Pharmacy Practice Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) is one of the required core courses in the fourth professional (P-4) year. The primary goal of this core Community Pharmacy Practice APPE is to provide students with the opportunity to learn how to provide safe, efficacious and economical patient-centered care by identifying, solving and preventing medication-related problems in the community pharmacy setting. Emphasis will be placed on the student's ability to demonstrate their understanding of common disease states and treatment modalities as well as their ability to provide pharmaceutical care and disease state management initiatives.
