IPPE 2 Health Systems Pharmacy Practice

Catalog description

This required course provides students structured, supervised pharmacy practice experience in the institutional (hospital or health system) pharmacy setting. Students engage in direct health systems medication management including informatics, leadership, and process as part of this course. Students will integrate and apply knowledge from the first two years of didactic curriculum and participate in the provision of care to patients within a hospital system, under the direct supervision of a preceptor who is a practicing licensed pharmacist. This course is taken in the summer or fall of the P-3 Year.
