Catalog description

Patient Comprehensive Application, Review, and Evaluation (Patient CARE) 5 is the fifth in a series of six application-based courses building upon the Integrated Series. In this course, students will engage in pharmacotherapeutic decision-making that integrates advanced clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacy practice. This course introduces problem-based learning to develop skill sets for use in critical analysis and assessment of therapeutics cases using the PPCP/SOAP process. Individual and team activities will focus on obtaining pertinent information, locating and utilizing appropriate resources, and integrating evidence-based practice into therapeutic and practice-related decisions. Materials and topics from other courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum will be reinforced.
