Capstone Exploration cultivates a professional identity and initiates preparation for the doctoral capstone. Strength-based self-assessment and reflection in this course lead to a professional development plan that guides the capstone process. Through guided inquiry and experiential learning, the course explores potential capstone areas of interest by examining current community needs, philosophies, service delivery models, and sociopolitical factors influencing the profession to identify innovative opportunities to address society’s current and future occupational needs.
