STAGE COMBAT

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the principles, skills, and safety practices of stage combat for theatrical and on-camera performance. Students learn how to create the illusion of violence while maintaining performer safety. Work includes unarmed combat, partner skills, historical context, physical conditioning, and introductory weapon techniques. Emphasis is placed on storytelling, technique, and repeatability of choreography.
