ADVANCED MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR TECHNIQUES

Catalog description

The second semester in a sequence of graduate level laboratory courses presenting experimental design, methods and techniques. Quantitative and qualitative laboratory approaches to the study of cell signaling pathways and using loss of function genetic alteration techniques to measure effects on aspects of cell physiology. Advanced cell culture techniques including 3D spheroid and organoid culture and stem cell propagation will be explored. Additional emphasis on multiplex approaches and cell population analyses. Students will be required to complete a guided research project.
