This course is designed to help students better understand the U.S. security challenges in Latin America. It analyzes the historical evolution of the region, focusing on civil wars and military interventions. The course also examines the current security trends and challenges, focusing on drug trafficking, organized crime, gangs, violence, migration, and border security. (Previously NJCU Course SECU-307)
