Catalog description

The first of an ongoing series designed to provide the student with a body-system approach to diseases encountered in the practice of medicine. Each module will emphasize the pathology and etiology of the disease process. Disease presentation, differential diagnosis, diagnostic studies and treatment will be addressed. The modules included in this course are Dermatology and Nutrition. Lecture material will be explored in greater detail during small group discussion sessions to support the development of critical thinking skills necessary for the practice of medicine.
