Catalog description
This course advances clinical medicine knowledge using a systems-based approach focused on endocrinology, neurology, musculoskeletal/rheumatologic disorders, and hematology/oncology. Emphasis is placed on pathophysiology, complex diagnostic reasoning, chronic disease management, and multisystem interactions across the lifespan. Instruction integrates emergency recognition and stabilization, procedural and surgical decision-making, and principles of palliative and end-of-life care. Content is horizontally aligned with concurrent instruction in Anatomy III, Physiology III and Clinical Pharmacology III to support advanced clinical reasoning and longitudinal patient management.
