Catalog description
This course introduces foundational human anatomy with emphasis on the structure and organization of the head, neck, special sensory organs, and integumentary system. Students will develop proficiency in anatomical terminology, spatial relationships, and regional anatomy essential for early clinical education. Instruction focuses on gross anatomy, surface landmarks, and structural-functional relationships that support normal physiological processes. Learning experiences incorporate anatomical models, prosections, and introductory imaging to reinforce three-dimensional understanding and clinical relevance. This course provides the structural foundation for subsequent coursework in physiology and clinical medicine.
