Catalog description

This course focuses on administrative procedure, execution of laws, and judicial control over administrative action in the public sector. Administrative agencies executive laws that involve formulation and implementation of public policies. This course covers principles and procedures that bind public agencies founded on the U.S. Constitution and state constitutions. This course will cover the following sub-themes: constitutionalism and rule of law with specific applications to administrative institutions; regulations and the regulatory process; legal and ethical dimensions of administrative institutions; regulations and the regulatory process; legal and ethical dimensions of administrative responsibility; sources of agency authority, the limitations of agency actions; and the availability and scope of judicial review of agency actions.
