Catalog description

This course introduces students to the use, management, and implications of AI in contemporary organizations across the public, nonprofit and private sectors. Students will explore how AI systems are used to collect data, support decision-making, automate organizational processes, manage information and transform work. Emphasis is placed on managerial, ethical, and organizational considerations rather than technical programming. Through case studies, applied exercises, and hands-on interactions with AI tools, students will learn how organizations adopt AI, the risks and benefits of AI-driven decisions, and how managers can responsibly govern AI technologies in real-world settings. Students are required to actively use at least one AI tool subscription during the semester.
