Catalog description

This course delves into holistic, complementary, and integrative health principles within occupational therapy practice for persons, groups and populations with an emphasis on community health across the lifespan. Health practices are highlighted, detailing their benefits, applications, and evidence-based effectiveness. Students will explore approaches or interventions for preventing and managing chronic conditions, as well as enhancing emotional wellness, mental health and overall well-being. Additionally, students will develop, recommend and provide interventions for persons, groups and/or populations promoting community safety, health and wellness, management of chronic condition and improving occupational performance.
