RESEARCH AND EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE I

Catalog description

Synthesis of current research with identification of a problem in the area of nursing leadership or practice. There is an emphasis on the critical appraisal of qualitative and quantitative evidence that leads to the development of an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) question using the PICO format. Knowledge, skills and attitudes required for successful implementation of an evidence-based practice project will be discussed. Concepts include patient safety and quality principles, quality/process improvement, and evidence-based practice processes.
