SCHOOL NURSING II

Catalog description

This course enables students to identify problems and plan solutions related to the organization and administration of a school health program, based on the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child approach and informed by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) 21ST Century School Nursing Framework. Specific topics include: ethics, legal mandates pertaining to school health, social determinants of health & the reduction of health disparities, evidence-based practice (EBP), quality & safety in school health, and professionalism in school nursing practice.
