Introduction to health information technology. Provides students with an understanding of the basics of healthcare informatics with emphasis on clinical applications of electronic medical records and utilization of healthcare software. Information on current trends in meaningful use and issues surrounding electronic medical records, including privacy, regulatory, and security concerns will be emphasized.
