Catalog description
A study of jazz in the context of the American cultural heritage is presented in this course. Its background, development, and other aspects of the art are treated historically and analytically, as are the performers from every period including contemporary rock-fusion. Emphasis is placed on aural perception of style. (Previously NJCU Course MDT-106)
