Data-Driven Business Decisions is a foundational analytics course designed to enhance students’ ability to analyze, interpret, and apply data for informed decision-making across all business disciplines — management, marketing, finance, accounting, supply chain, and information systems. Using statistical software, students will develop practical skills to summarize, visualize, and model business data while evaluating analytical results in managerial contexts. The course emphasizes descriptive and inferential statistics, regression modeling, and data visualization as essential tools for generating evidence-based reasoning and strategic insight. Through applied exercises and real-world cases, students learn to integrate quantitative analysis with business judgment, formulate data-driven recommendations, and apply principles of ethical and responsible analytics, including awareness of fairness, transparency, and the emerging role of AI in decision-making.
