This course covers the fundamental principles and techniques of coding theory and information theory with applications in data analytics, data compression, error correction, and communication systems. Topics will include entropy, channel capacity, Shannon’s Theorems, block codes, convolutional codes, modern error-correcting codes, and their role in optimizing data storage, transmission, and retrieval.
