Catalog description

A course designed to give graduate students with some mathematical maturity basic skills in the use of statistics in research. The course includes the use of the computer to do statistical analysis. Some topics are: review of descriptive statistics; correlation and regression; hypothesis testing for different types of data; distributions of data; estimation. An undergraduate course in statistics, or the equivalent.
