Course provides elementary education majors a deeper understanding of the mathematics they will teach through an exploration of number systems and place value, arithmetic algorithms, and mathematical structures using a problem solving approach. Students will be required to reason and communicate mathematically with various representations, models, and procedures. (Previously NJCU Course MATH-215)
