Science and Power

Catalog description

This course traces how power has shaped technological and scientific innovation in American culture. Discussions of key moments such as the advent of the internet, the rise of personal computers, or the creation of gaming technology through an intersectional lens to consider race, gender, and disability in technology and science are introduced. Students will view digital projects that chronicle these moments and help them better understand them. (Previously NJCU Course WGST-211)
