HEALTH COMMUNICATION - SPECIAL TOPICS

Catalog description

This course examines specific areas of health communication not extensively covered in other advanced courses (3000 or 4000 level), with topics varying by semester as announced by the Health Communication Program Coordinator. Students may repeat the course for credit when the topic differs. Potential areas of focus include patient-provider communication, health literacy, public health messaging, health advocacy, and crisis communication. Notes: Course can be repeated for credit (same section and title only for grade-recalculation, different section and title for additional credits); Course can be cross-listed.
