Catalog description
Theories of health counseling are discussed and the practice of health counseling is studied as an approach to voluntary change in an individual's behavior. Students engage in self- analysis and develop personal plans to help prevent illness, maintain health and/or cope with existing problems. Current trends in patient education are discussed. (Previously NJCU Course HLTH-301)
