Catalog description
Through this course students will gain an appreciation of the development of Mexican society. It challenges simplistic concepts of Mexico, analyzing diverse influences and sources of society, including indigenous cultures; Spanish colonialism; enslaved Africans and their descendants; and European immigrants. It will look at Mexico's relationship with the United States. (Previously NJCU Course HIST-333)
