Catalog description

This course examines the history of NYC and its surroundings, beginning with Native Americans and ending with 9/11. Focusing on topography, trade, and transit, this history course challenges students to think regionally using G.I.S. software. Students will engage with rich primary sources representing women, Native-Americans, African-Americans, immigrants, and many others. (Previously NJCU Course HIST-131)
