TYPOGRAPHY I

Catalog description

A studio course in the study of typography and typographic design. A foundational body of typographic knowledge and visual skills will be covered for the practicing designer. Emphasis is upon historical and contemporary typographic design, the vocabulary of typography, formal components of letterforms, page composition, and print and digital applications. A personal laptop and Adobe Creative Cloud software subscription are required. Field trips, the Thinking Creatively conference, and supply fees apply.
