Catalog description

Following the 2-course sequence of Research Methods in Genetic Counseling; students undertake a 3-course series to conduct original research culminating in the manuscript for and oral presentation of the Master of Science thesis. Following submission of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) application; work on the manuscript continues. Manuscript sections drafted to include the literature review; introduction; and materials and methods. Work is discussed with and reviewed by the thesis committee regularly. Upon IRB approval; actual study is initiated.
