This course provides a comprehensive discussion of investment strategies using derivative instruments and alternative assets. Forwards and futures, options and swaps are examined in the context of hedging strategies to manage equity market, interest rate, and currency risk. Topics also include alternative investments such as real estate investment trusts (REITs), hedge funds, commodity indexes, private equity and venture capital. (Previously NJCU Course FINC-774)
