CLINICAL PRACTICE IN GRADUATE ART EDUCATION II: SECONDARY

Catalog description

Supervised field experience for graduate students. Emphasis is on lesson planning, curriculum content, and basic teaching strategies and construction of edTPA. Students spend one full day per week for one semester in a middle or secondary school setting to observe, teach, engage in school activities, and explore the potential of the classroom as a setting of research. Setting is inclusive of normative and special needs learners, and requires 100 hours of fieldwork are required. Taken in fall semester prior to final semester of study.
