Understanding artistic process, materials, and multisensory teaching methods as they apply to classrooms containing students having special needs, with an emphasis on autism as a prominent area of concern. Modes of visual, tactual, and kinesthetic activities that can shape instructional design are addressed. Course integrates lecture, hands-on studio experiences, discussions, presentations, and written papers.
