CLINICAL PRACTICE IN ART EDUCATION I: ELEMENTARY

Supervised field experience. Emphasis is on lesson planning, curriculum content and basic teaching strategies in K-5 classrooms. Students spend one full day per week for one semester in an elementary school setting, observing, teaching and engaging in school activities. Setting is inclusive of normative and special needs learners. 100 hours of field work are required. Taken in spring semester prior to final year of study.
