EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

Catalog description
This course equips students with foundational knowledge and essential practical skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies in pre-hospital settings. Students will develop proficiency in patient assessment and life-saving techniques necessary to stabilize and manage patients prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn certification as an Emergency Medical Responder from the Emergency Care Safety Institute (ECSI), as well as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). A $30.00 lab fee is associated / required for this course.
