Catalog description
Natural disasters threaten humans and society, and cause severe economic, financial, and social impacts. This course introduces students to interdisciplinary aspects of natural disasters. Students will learn about a variety of natural hazards, including earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, volcanic activity, floods, and wildfires, as well as the risk assessment and mitigation. (Previously NJCU Course EESC-230)
