A field, laboratory, library and/or policy investigation of a basic or applied environmental issue performed independently by the student under the supervision of a faculty research mentor. ENV 4961 may be repeated, or combined with ENV 4962 or ENV 4963, to a total of four credits towards a SESS program's major elective requirement.
