Catalog description

This course offers a survey of the referral resources available to the counselor and social worker in the northern New Jersey metropolitan area. Public and private agencies, educational, vocational, mental health, and medical resources and their interaction are included. Techniques of contact, referral, and follow up are studied. Students are expected to visit a number of local agencies and work through the referral process in sample cases. (Previously NJCU Course EDU-606)
