This course focuses on observation and other methods of assessments used to study and understand young children in the context of families and society. Emphasis will be on documentation, portfolios, informal and formal evaluations. The candidate will work with families to develop an appropriate research based performance based assessment for the children. (Previously NJCU Course ECE-647)
