Catalog description

This course focuses on the advanced appraisal and application of research evidence in physical therapy practice. It provides an in‑depth examination of complex research questions, study designs, and analytical approaches commonly encountered in physical therapy and rehabilitation. Emphasis is placed on the identification, selection, and interpretation of evidence to support evidence‑based clinical decision‑making. The course addresses the development, refinement, and application of clinical outcome assessment instruments relevant to physical therapy practice. As part of the course, students will further develop individual research projects and outcome measures initiated in Doctoral Seminar II. These projects will be refined through Doctoral Seminar III and culminate in a final presentation during final presentation in Doctoral Seminar III.
