Catalog description

This course will serve as an exploration of the role of government and organizational management in securing cyberspace via cyber policy. The emphasis of this course is to interpret and analyze cyber policy and encourage government-based cybersecurity awareness. The course will examine cybersecurity and cybercrime through policies and best practices in procedures carried out by law enforcement investigators, cybersecurity practitioners, and prosecutors. Topics for this course will include federal, state, and local statutes, policies, and frameworks related to cybersecurity, such as cyber law and federal guidelines and regulations associated with cybersecurity countermeasures, cyber policy, and privacy.
