This course specifically deals with the chemical synthesis and properties of polymers. Over the semester, this course will cover following aspects of polymers: (1) Chemical design of polymers, (2) Polymer synthesis (polymerization), (3) Mechanistic analysis of polymerization, (4) Mechanistic origin of molecular properties of polymers, (5) Chemical origin of physical properties of polymers, and (6) Future outlook of polymers.
