PHYSICAL CHEM LAB/RECITATION I

Catalog description

Laboratory experience to illustrate theoretical concepts of physical chemistry with the emphasis on thermodynamics through experimental measurement. Laboratory exercises and reports will focus on obtaining the values of thermodynamic variables, such as enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy. In addition, statistical skills needed to assess data quality will be developed, and used to evaluate the need for repetition of experiments.
