ADVANCED GROUP COUNSELING

Catalog description

This course addresses advanced group counseling, consultation, and leadership skills in clinical and educational settings, including a comprehensive examination of group theories, approaches, strategies, and therapeutic applications. Students will increase their group skills by leading a master's level process group and participating in group supervision. Group dynamics, group counseling stages, roles, and interventions, as well as ethical, legal and cultural issues are addressed.
