A brief review of the processes involved in neurotypical language development. Focus on the nature of language disorders and of children with language disorders. Assessment techniques, both formal and informal, and remediation strategies are discussed. Evidence-based intervention approaches for the prelinguistic, emerging, and developing language periods. Considerations for culturally and linguistically diverse children.
