A study of microorganisms and their activities. Topics include microbial cell structure, metabolism, microbial genetics, taxonomy and phylogeny, methods of culture and identification, and their role in disease and immunity. Completion of BIO 3315 and BIO 3315L is equivalent to completion of BIO 3305.
