Catalog description

The principles of structural systems - loading, load paths, stability systems and evaluation criteria - are explored considering different two- and three-dimensional structural typologies, with reference to local project case studies. These topics are examined through lectures, physical demonstrations, in-class worked examples, and assignment problem sets. Course evaluation is predominantly based on a semester-long project.
