Catalog description

The fundamentals of structures – equilibrium, strengths of materials, statics and mechanics – are introduced looking at two-dimensional structural elements, with reference to local project case studies. These topics are examined through lectures, physical demonstrations, in-class worked examples, and assignment problem sets. Evaluation is predominantly based on a mid-term and final examination.
